Yesterday, I had the pleasure of giving a lecture on Moldable Development as part of the Software Modeling and Analysis course from the University of Bern. This was exciting because this is the very first course that relies on Glamorous Toolkit.

The lecture, available online, starts from the observation that the largest expense in software development is posed by trying to understand the system enough to be able to decide what to do next. This is what we call software assessment. From there, it goes through multiple live examples to argue why creating custom tools is the solution, and how these custom tools can be created practically through a moldable environment.

And the conclusion? Simply that moldability is a pervasive need.
